Abstract:
Measurements are reported on the effects of moderate acceleration upon the absolute thresholds of foveal (cone) and peripheral (rod) vision. This experiment shows that accelerative stress has a consistent and progressive effect on visual performance, this effect being proportional to the magnitude of the positive accelerations.
