Abstract:
The purpose of this investigation has been to measure the thermal Conductivity, specific heat, and linear coefficient of thermal expansion of particular materials. 1. Stainless Steel type 420 ρ = 7.71 g/cc 2. Stainless Steel type 17-4 PH ρ = 7.74 g/cc 3. AM 355 ρ = 7.78 g/cc 4. Crucible HNM ρ = 7.67 g/cc 5. Titanium C110 M ρ = 4.59 g/cc 6. Inco 713C ρ = 9.23 g/cc 7. Haynes Stellite HE 1049 ρ = 8.85 g/cc 8. Kennametal K161B ρ = 5.66 g./cc 9. M 252 (GE-J1500) ρ = 8.22 g/cc (Solutioned 1950°F, air cooled) 10. Rene 41 (GE-J1610) ρ = 8.08 g/cc (Solutioned 1975°F, water quenched) 11. Vanadium ρ = 6.05 g/cc 12. Zirconium ρ = 6.49 g/cc 13. Molybdenum Disilicide ρ = 5.80 g/cc 14.
