Contract: AF 33(616)-6952
DoD Project: 8225
DoD Task: 82181
Identifier: AD0282873
Abstract:
This is the first detailed report on Contract AF 33(616)-6952, concerned with the fundamental investigation of adaptive control systems. A general survey of modern analytical methods of control theory is presented, with emphasis on special topics relevant to adaptive system problems. In addition, it is shown how these methods are implemented by means of digital computers. A set of new matrix subroutines is described in detail. To render this report as nearly self-contained as was considered feasible, a comprehensive appendix has been included. This appendix if referred to in the body of the report as [Kalman, 1961 C].
