Abstract:
The available wheel/rail load models and data are integrated into a preliminary model for the expected spectrum of dynamic vertical, lateral and joint loads on tangent and curved track. The model is sensitive to variation in the traffic mix and speeds and to differences in track quality. The model is computationally convenient and requires few constants.
