Abstract:
Advanced liquid rocket developments for future launch vehicles are discussed from the viewpoints of the technology trends, increasing vehicle performance and of decreasing vehicle cost. An analysis of probable missions as a function of time and available launch vehicles is made, followed by a discussion of the resulting spacecraft propulsion requirements and possible responses to these requirements.
