Abstract:
This report describes continuing applied research and development work on vital problems encountered in providing high performance hydraulic and pneumatic control systems for advanced system design and development. Increase emphasis on high pressure pneumatic components and systems reflects approach to an ultimate objective of employing hot gas power to operate such systems. Control valves, servomotors, gas bearings, and techniques of control are the major items discussed in this report.
