Abstract:
Kaiser Engineers, as consultants to Parsons Brinckerhoff-Tudor-Bechtel (PBTB), conducted studies of rail fasteners. The purpose of these investigations was to evaluate the fastener hardware available and to recommend types or systems for installation and testing of the Diablo Test Track. As a result of the studies six types of fastener were selected for further evaluation at the test track.
